Meta recently released a report on the economic potential of the meta-cosmos. The report states that Metaverse is at an early stage of development, but sees its potential in the fields of education, play, health, and commerce. The report analyses the economic opportunities that the meta-cosm offers globally, stating that by 2035, the meta-cosmos could generate $3.6 trillion in additional GDP per year for global economic gains.
Meta（原Facebook）作为全球最大的社交网络平台，近年来一直在积极布局元宇宙领域，试图打造一个虚拟的、沉浸式的、持续存在的数字世界，让用户能够在其中自由地交流、娱乐、学习和工作。
As the world's largest social networking platform, Meta (formerly Facebook) has been active in recent years in setting up the meta-cosm, trying to create a virtual, immersed and sustainable digital world in which users can freely communicate, entertain, learn and work.

In order to demonstrate the future prospects and economic value of the meta-cosmos, Meta commissioned the International Economic Advisory Corporation, Analysis Group, to prepare a study entitled The Potential Impact of the Meta-Cosmos on the Global Economy, which was officially launched on 10 May.

The report states that the meta-cosmos is at an early stage of development, but that its potential in the fields of education, play, health and commerce can be seen, and that it analyses the economic opportunities that the meta-cosmos offers worldwide, stating that by 2035 it could generate $3.6 trillion in additional GDP per year for global economic gains.

This figure corresponds to the current size of GDP in Germany or Japan and exceeds the current global pool of play and film industries.

The report states that the meta-cosmos will contribute to global economic growth in four ways:

- Reducing costs: The metacosystem will enable people to access more resources and opportunities at lower cost, thereby reducing the cost of life and work. For example, the metacocosystem can provide easier medical, health and educational services to enable people to obtain professional diagnosis, treatment and guidance in the virtual world;
- 增加就业：元宇宙将创造出一个新的就业领域，让人们能够在虚拟世界中从事各种职业和创业活动，从而增加就业和收入。例如，元宇宙可以提供更多的创作、设计和开发工作，让人们能够在虚拟世界中制作和销售自己的作品。
- Increasing employment: The meta-cosm will create a new area of employment that will enable people to engage in a variety of professional and entrepreneurial activities in the virtual world, thereby increasing employment and income. For example, the meta-cosm will provide more creative, design and development work to enable people to produce and sell their own works in the virtual world.
报告认为，元宇宙将是一个开放的、多样化的、包容性的平台，将吸引各种各样的参与者加入其中，并促进跨行业、跨领域、跨文化的合作与竞争。
