6月22日，根据比特币新闻资讯网Coindesk，比特币价格跌破30000美元，最低跌至29350美元。截至发稿，比特币价格回升至30000美元左右，24小时下跌7%，24小时内成交量为435.4亿美元，市值约为5625亿美元。与4月创出的历史最高价64829美元相比，比特币价格已跌超50%。
On 22 June, according to the Bitcoin News and Information Network Coindisk, the price of Bitcoin fell by $30,000, down to $29350. As of the publication, the price of Bitcoin had recovered to around $30,000, falling by 7 per cent in 24 hours, with a volume of $43.54 billion in 24 hours and a market value of approximately $562.5 billion.

另据比特币家园网站数据，截至发稿，比特币在1小时内爆仓9035.6万美元，24小时爆仓3.66亿美元。

就在1天前，6月21日，据央行官网，近日人民银行有关部门就银行和支付机构为虚拟货币交易炒作提供服务问题，约谈了工商银行、农业银行、建设银行、邮储银行、兴业银行和支付宝等部分银行和支付机构，要求切实履行客户身份识别义务，不得为相关活动提供账户开立、登记、交易、清算、结算等产品或服务。央行还要求各机构要全面排查识别虚拟货币交易所及场外交易商资金账户，及时切断交易资金支付链路；要分析虚拟货币交易炒作活动的资金交易特征，加大技术投入，完善异常交易监控模型，切实提高监测识别能力。
Just one day ago, on 21 June, according to the Central Bank’s network of officials, the relevant departments of the People’s Bank recently interviewed a number of banks and payment agencies, such as business and industry banks, agricultural banks, construction banks, postal banks, boom banks and payment treasures, on the issue of the services provided by banks and payment agencies for virtual currency transactions, and demanded that customer identification obligations be fulfilled effectively and that the related activities not be provided with products or services such as accounts opening, registration, transactions, liquidation, settlement, and other services. The Central Bank also requested agencies to conduct comprehensive checks to identify the accounts of virtual money exchanges and off-site dealers, to cut off the transaction funds payment chain in a timely manner; and to analyse the characteristics of financial transactions in which virtual currency transactions were being carried out, to increase technical inputs, to improve the model for monitoring unusual transactions and to effectively improve the ability to monitor identification.
同日，上述机构先后发布声明强调禁止使用其服务用于比特币等虚拟货币交易，并针对切断交易资金支付链路提出应对举措。
On the same day, the above-mentioned institutions issued successive statements emphasizing the prohibition of the use of their services for virtual currency transactions, such as Bitcoin, and proposed responses to cut off the link between the payment of transactional funds.
实际上，自比特币4月中旬涨超60000美元，市场投机情绪高涨至最高值之后，国内监管开始层层加码。

此后，多家虚拟货币交易所暂停了中国用户开户，众多矿机服务平台宣布屏蔽中国大陆地区IP，也有挖矿企业选择转战海外。而在虚拟货币挖矿领域，内蒙古、青海、新疆、云南、四川等省先后出台政策整治虚拟货币挖矿行业，挖矿产业开启清退之路。
